Weâre hiring a passionate Infrastructure Engineer. Youâll shape the core infrastructure powering Mate Academy and Rist Labs.

Tech stack: AWS (EC2, EKS, IAM, Lambda, SQS, VPC, S3, Secrets Manager), Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Terraform/Serverless/CDK/Helm, Node.js, TypeScript, Next.js, Prometheus, Grafana.
Your skills:
- 3+ years in software development with practical infrastructure experience
- Hands-on experience with AWS
- Solid experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Build processes: TypeScript & Next.js caching, bundling strategies
- IaC experience (Terraform, Serverless, CloudFormation, CDK, Helm, etc.)
- Strong debugging skills (please be ready to share examples)
- Development experience (TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, etc)
- Examples of personal initiatives: optimizations, migrations, cost savings, upgrades.
- English - B1+
Bonus points for:
- Experience with Karpenter or other autoscaling tools
- CI/CD pipeline optimization
- ArgoCD / GitOps practices
- Participation in on-call rotation
- Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch)
- Understanding of infrastructure cost optimization and FinOps practices.
Your tasks:
- Support and develop infrastructure for Mate academy and Rist Labs products
- Develop and maintain infrastructure systems and libraries (self-hosted GitHub Actions runners, EKS updates, cost-efficient autoscaling, etc.)
- Migrate infrastructure to IaC where possible and introduce IaC standards
- Manage AWS permissions (IAM system design, SSO)
- Build CI/CD pipelines for AWS Lambdas
- Improve observability (error tracking, vulnerability detection, deprecation monitoring)
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines to speed up delivery and reduce build time
- Participate in on-call rotation and improve incident escalation.
Goals for probation:
- Update self-hosted GitHub Actions runners to the latest version
- Stabilize SPOT instance disruptions in the master
- Update EKS and node groups to the latest available version
Your Tasks for the next year:
- Optimize and standardize CI/CD pipelines to speed up delivery
- Ensure timely infrastructure updates and stable SPOT instance usage
- Migrate from the deprecated Serverless framework to a modern alternative
- Standardize Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) across Mate Academy and Rist Labs
- Build and support CI/CD pipelines for Rist Labs products

Team:
Youâll work directly with Vadym Ilchenko, CTO, and be part of the Infrastructure Team. Youâll collaborate closely with the Platform, Acquisition, Data Analytics, Kodree, Noot, and Aligned teams to support and improve the infrastructure across all products.
